Modern manufacturing facility with 365,000 sq. ft.
A fully-dedicated, specially designed Canadian rope manufacturing location, with over 365,000 sq. ft. (34,000 sq. meters), to maximize our manufacturing and quality control efficiencies.
World class stranding up to 6" in diameter
With one of the largest stranders in the world, we are capable of producing large diameter structural strand, in sizes up to 6" (150 mm) diameter, for some of the largest supported roof structures, suspension bridges and communication tower projects around the globe.
120 metric ton 8 bobbin closing capabilities
With one of the largest 8 bobbin closing machines in the world, 120 metric tons, we can manufacture 6 or 8 strand ropes up to 8" (202 mm) diameter, 12" (305 mm) cable laid ropes, and extremely long single lengths of rope such as 29,000' (8800 meters) of 2" (51 mm) diameter. these specialized capabilities allow us to supply some of the largest equipment in use today including drag line excavators and long cable belt conveyor systems.

Compact strand technological innovation
We have worked for many years to improve and perfect strand compaction, referred to as the Dy-Pac process, which increases the steel area of a strand. This results in enhanced rope strength, reduced rope wear and increased flexibility under load.
Fully controlled core manufacturing
At Wire Rope Industries we manufacture our own rope cores and employ special manufacturing techniques including synthetic stabilization, plastic enhancement, and lubrication optimization. These special techniques maximize core diameter consistency, minimize elongation, provide superior strand support, and limit rope stretch.
Specialized high performance mining technologies
Long considered the premier North American manufacturer of specialized mining technologies, we produce a broad range of products for the mining industry including half and full- locked coil ropes, flattened or triangular strand ropes, and multi-strand spin resistant ropes. Together with our experience and specialized technologies, we optimize customer operations and have virtually eliminated the use of standard wire rope products in critical mining applications.
